Finding Jobs in AccountingAccounting graduates have more options and specific pathways to pursue their careers. Accounting requires many business skills and that is why every company has employees with an accounting degree. If you have an accounting degree, you can apply to any type of company. Areas may include taxation, auditing, financial analysis, and management accounting.

It is best to apply for a job that matches your interests and expertise. There are careers that have been proven by most accounting graduates to take them to the top of the ladder of success and you might consider entering these fields.

If you are an outstanding graduate accounting student in public accounting, the entry positions best suited to this skill are tax officer, consulting/management services, and human resources auditor. With these positions, you will perform your duties under the responsibility of your superiors.

Once you have three to six years of experience in one of these positions, you may consider applying to higher levels such as Senior Tax, Senior Auditor and Senior Consultant, where This position involves reporting directly to a manager. After six years of excellence in these drugs, you can consider Partner and Senior Partner level positions.

With a business accounting advantage, one to three years of experience will qualify you as an internal auditor, tax accountant, management and financial accountant. By moving to the next level in three to six years, you will qualify for the next level for internal audit, tax accounting and management accounting. Six years later, you might consider aiming for positions such as tax manager, director of internal audit, and chief financial officer.

Specialization in financial management, human resources financial planning, cash management and credit analysis are options for entry-level positions. Once you’ve gained enough experience, you can move into high-level treasury operations, credit analysis, and financial planning.

The most senior positions will include treasurer, director of credit analysis and financial planner.These career options are traditional pathways that have proven to be the most suitable for accounting graduates.

However, that doesn’t mean they’re the only way to climb the ladder of success. You need to go beyond your skills in the field of accounting. You should gain enough work experience, accumulate knowledge of various aspects of your education and continue to improve your character to lead other job seekers.
